Role & responsibilities
Production Operations
- Execute API manufacturing activities such as charging, reactions, distillation, filtration, centrifugation, drying, and packing.
- Follow Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) strictly.
- Monitor critical process parameters and ensure adherence to process controls.
- Ensure proper handling of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in BMRs, logbooks, and shift handover registers.
- Comply with cGMP, safety, EHS, and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits (USFDA, WHO, EU, etc.).
- Report deviations, incidents, and non-conformances promptly.
Equipment & Safety
- Operate and monitor reactors, centrifuges, dryers, and associated equipment.
- Ensure equipment cleaning, line clearance, and preventive maintenance coordination.
- Follow safety guidelines while handling chemicals and solvents.
- Promote a strong safety and quality culture on the shop floor.
Coordination & Teamwork
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Engineering, and EHS teams.
- Assist seniors in process improvements, yield optimization, and cost reduction.
- Train and guide helpers, operators, and contract workforce when required.
