WALK – IN – INTERVIEW FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP (JRF)

Defence Scientific Information & Documentation Centre (DESIDOC), Delhi, one of the premier research lab of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is engaged in delivering library, information and documentation services as well as IT Services to DRDO personnel.

DESIDOC invites applications from young and meritorious Indian nationals who wish to pursue research related to library and information science, documentation, software development and networking, etc for engagement as Junior Research Fellow (JRF).

# The number of vacancies may vary depending upon the requirement at the time of the walk in-interview. A vacancy may remain unfilled or may be converted from one discipline to another as per organizational requirements.

Stipend: JRFs will receive a stipend of Rs. 37,000/- p.m plus HRA as per DRDO Rules. Junior Research Fellows are not entitled to any other benefits such as DA, CCA, Bonus, Retirement benefits etc. However, they will be eligible for medical facilities for self only through the MI Room facility available in the campus.

Tenure: The fellowship will initially be offered for a period of two years, which may be extended for a further period of two years subject to the recommendation of the Internal Screening Committee.

Age Limit: The upper age limit is 28 years as on the date of interview.

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government rules:

 5 years for SC/ST Candidates.

 3 years for OBC Candidate.

 OBC candidates belonging to the creamy layer are not eligible for age relaxation.

PROCEDURE OF ATTENDING INTERVIEW: Qualified/eligible candidates may Walk in for Interview at the venue, on the date and time as mentioned below:

While appearing for interview, the candidates are required to submit complete Bio-data with a recent passport-size photograph affixed at the top right corner of the first page. Candidates should bring original certificates (for verification) along with one set copies of all Degree/Academic qualification certificates/mark sheet/Experience Certificate etc, Candidates working in Govt./Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies must produce an NOC from their present employer.

Mode of selection: Walk-in-interview at Defence Scientific Information & Documentation Centre (DESIDOC), Metcalfe House, Civil Lines, Delhi – 110 054.

Date & Time of Interview: 25th March 2026 at 09:00 am.

Important Instructions:-
 Applications will be accepted from 0900 hrs to 1000 hrs only on the date of interview.
Candidates arriving late will not be allowed to participate in walk-in-interview process.
 Exam will be conducted depending on the no. of candidates appeared followed by interview
 Initial screening and verification of testimonials will be carried out between 0930 hrs to 10:30 hrs.
 Interviews of shortlisted candidates will commence from 1100 hrs onwards.
 Only those candidates who have been awarded Degree/Provisional Certificate are eligible to
apply.
 Candidates must make their own arrangements for stay and transport in Delhi.
 The offer of Fellowship will not confer any right of absorption in DRDO.
 Award of Fellowship shall not be claimed as a matter of right. The Selection Committee reserves
the right to refuse admission to any candidate without assigning any reason.
 Selected candidate may be permitted to register for part-time Ph.D. with any recognized
University/Institution during the tenure of the fellowship.
 No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or for joining, if selected.
 Number of vacancies may increase or decrease without prior notice.
