Position Overview:

The Medical Coder (Fresher) will be responsible for converting medical diagnoses, procedures, and treatments into standardized codes for billing and record-keeping purposes. This entry-level position is ideal for freshers who are interested in starting a career in the healthcare industry and gaining expertise in medical coding.

Required Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical terminology.
• Familiarity with ICD-10- cm, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Good communication skills for documenting and reviewing patient information.
• Ability to work with confidential information and maintain patient privacy.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of healthcare industry regulations (HIPAA, etc.).
• Certification in CPC/CIC/CRC/CCS is an added advantage

Job Description:

• Assign medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and treatments based on clinical documentation.
• Ensure accuracy in coding and compliance with healthcare industry standards.
• Review patient charts and medical records to ensure completeness and correctness of the codes.
• Candidates already having work experience in Hospital Field is added advantage.

Qualifications:B.Sc in Food Technology, Optometry, Home Science, Bio-Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Botany, Nursing, Zoology, B.B.A/ B.M.S in Any Specialization, BAMS in Any Specialization, BDS in Any Specialization, B.Tech/B.E. in Bio-Chemistry/Bio-Technology, BVSC in Any Specialization, B.Pharma in Any Specialization, BHMS in Any Specialization, B.U.M.S in Any Specialization

Candidates with a Degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Allied Health, or any related field are preferred.
