Key Responsibilities:
A firm understanding of general organic chemistry. Strong grasp of fundamental laboratory techniques and familiarity with more advanced techniques and methodologies the incumbent should be able to perform basic laboratory procedures without day-to-day guidance from the Group Leader or senior scientist; guidance is still required from a project-level, i.e., selection of targets, retro-synthesis, method development, etc. The incumbent should be able to research and identify literature related to methodology; be able to read and understand experimental write-ups; propose alternative solutions to resolve setbacks. Will be responsible to perform basic laboratory procedures. Selection of targets, retro-synthesis, method development, etc. Will be responsible for analytical data interpretation of final compounds. Maintaining safety norms while doing lab work Should be able to generate and execute a periodic synthesis plan. Should be confident of analytical data interpretation of final compounds and know when to seek help.
