Roles and Responsibilities
Quality Control Program including health monitoring by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and Immunofluorescence assay (IFA) of laboratory animals (rodent) and reporting.
Handling of laboratory animals (rodent & non rodent)
Maintenance of breeding colonies (inbreeding & outbreeding) of rodent and related record keeping.
Maintenance and Calibration of various animal facility and lab equipment like IVCs, CCS, Weighing balance, Stem Sterilizer, Thermo cycler (PCR), Electrophoresis System, Microscope, Room decontamination system, Refrigerated Centrifuge, Bacteriological incubator etc.
Dosing and blood collection of laboratory animals from different routes.
Preparation, revision and implementation of SOPs.
Basic understanding of regulatory requirements and principles of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and AAALAC international Guidelines.
To maintain accurate animal facility records, worksheets and notebooks with responsibility for the quality of their data.
Compliance to Quality Procedures and Practices as per the principles of GLP and AAALAC.
