Ahmedabad Plane Crash Updates: At least 241 people were killed when a Boeing plane crashed in Ahmedabad. Only one survived as Mrityunjaya. The incident has become a topic of discussion all over the world. Questions are being raised over the performance of Boeing’s aircraft. Let’s find out the updates.

The Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad was one of the worst air accidents in India’s history. On June 12, Air India flight AI171, which took off from The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad for London, crashed in a residential area in Meghaninagar within minutes of take-off. There were 230 passengers and 12 crew members on board. The plane crashed into the bj medical college hostel and caught fire. Air India confirmed that 241 people were killed in the crash, with only one British passenger, Vishwas Kumar Ramesh, surviving. He is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The plane was carrying 169 Indians, 53 British nationals, seven Portuguese and one Canadian. Former Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani also officially confirmed that he died in the accident. Cctv footage shows that the plane lost height and crashed within 30 seconds of take-off. Lost contact with air traffic control (ATC) after an emergency call (Mayday call) went off the plane. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) are investigating the cause of the accident. A team from Boeing has also reached India to provide assistance in the investigation.
