We are seeking a dedicated Production Officer – API to oversee the smooth operation of our API services in the production environment. 

Role & responsibilities

• Document operational processes, procedures, and best practices for maintaining APIs in production.
• Generate regular status updates and operational reports for internal teams and management
• Assist with the deployment and release of new API versions, ensuring minimal disruption to live services.
• Coordinate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth rollouts and timely hotfixes or patches when required.
• Review release plans to ensure production readiness of APIs before deployment.
• Respond to production incidents promptly and work with relevant teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Document, track, and escalate production issues as needed, providing root cause analysis and suggesting preventive measures.
• Support post-incident reviews and contribute to lessons learned and improvements.
• Oversee the daily operation of all APIs in the production environment.
• Monitor the performance, availability, and health of APIs to ensure they are running optimally.
• Analyze system logs, error reports, and traffic data to identify potential issues before they affect users.
