Urgent Requirement of QC Chemist

Job Summary

The Quality Control Chemist is responsible for conducting chemical and analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. The role ensures product quality, safety, and consistency in line with GMP guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine chemical analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, FTIR, pH meter, Dissolution apparatus, etc.
  • Prepare reagents, solutions, and standard preparations as per approved procedures.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation in compliance with GMP, GLP, and regulatory standards.
  • Review and interpret analytical data and report results.
  • Conduct stability studies and environmental monitoring where applicable.
  • Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) and out-of-trend (OOT) results.
  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness of the laboratory.
  • Assist in method validation and method transfer activities.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree (B.Sc.) or Masters Degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
  • 13 years of experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech/chemical QC laboratory (Fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles).
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques and laboratory instruments.
  • Good documentation and report-writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
