Relevant Work Experience
- 4 years of experience in API Manufacturing with 2 years of experience in Technology Transfer
- Understanding of API manufacturing operations, safety & cGMP systems
Job Purpose
Execute the manufacturing excellence activities by studying variability in production and passing benchmarks in quality for an API unit to reduce the variability so that best yield and quality is achieved.
Key Accountabilities (1/6)
Execute manufacturing excellence initiatives by preparing the study reports of the manufacturing process to ensure yield improvements
- Study manufacturing process across the batch cycle and find areas of improvements
- Execute the recommendations in optimizing daily batch activity to ensure optimum utilization of resources
Key Accountabilities (2/6)
Monitor the utilization of equipment capacity to increase the productivity/throughput
- Identify the bottleneck equipment and optimally utilize it by improving capacity to increase throughput.
- Execute the recommendations in scaling-up of existing batches for capacity improvement

Execute the cost improvement projects by coordinating with the production department to reduce manufacturing cost
- Monitor the processes and suggest improvements for simplification
- Identify the cost saving ideas by aligning with production department and submit report for review
- Implement the cost saving ideas like solvent recovery usage, recycling, and reduction of losses

Study unit operation, time cycles for time consuming activities to reduce lead time and optimize production
- Perform the study of unit processes and identify areas of improvements
- Monitor the cycle time at the unit and provide suggestion to reduce cycle time

Implement new technologies through manufacturing excellence initiatives to reduce production cost and facilitate smooth & safe operations
- Implement new technologies like automation, close operations etc. as per requirement by coordinating with vendors
