The following Research Fellowships are available at this Laboratory for candidates possessing requisite qualifications, in the subject/disciplines as detailed below:-
Date & Time of Walk-in Interview
11.10.2025 (Saturday) at 0930 hrs
The equivalent acceptable subjects/disciplines of essential educational qualification shall be as per RAC, DRDO norms.
For the above purpose, NET shall also include other relevant national level fellowships awarded by Central Government Departments/Agencies.
The decision of Director, NPOL as to educational qualification(s) prescribed, its equivalence and relevance to the Laboratory shall be final.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
Only candidates possessing the above mentioned qualification(s) need apply. All the qualifications
acquired should be from recognized Universities/Institutions. NET/GATE qualification wherever
prescribed should be valid as on the date of walk-in interview. Candidates working in
Government/Public sector undertaking/ autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel.
Upper Age Limit: 28 years as on the date of walk-in interview. The upper age limit shall be relaxable
to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and OBC as per Government of India
norms.
How to apply: Interested candidates may appear for a Walk-in Interview on the above mentioned date &
time at Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya in the campus of NAVAL PHYSICAL & OCEANOGRAPHIC
LABORATORY, THRIKKAKARA P.O., KOCHI 682021. They are required to produce all
certificates/testimonials/Community certificate/valid GATE/NET Score card etc. in original at the time of
Interview. They must also bring a set of self attested copies of all their testimonials/certificates and an ID
proof (Voter’s ID/ Aadhaar card/PAN card/Driving License) in original along with one recent colour
passport size photograph at the time of interview.
Prospective candidates for the walk-in interview may e-mail their one-page bio-data to hrd.npol@gov.in, for
making necessary administrative arrangements.
A panel for the vacancies available and future vacancies will be drawn and the Panel will operate for a
period of one year. However, the mere fact of empanelment will not entitle any candidate to an offer of
Fellowship, which is contingent upon occurrence of vacancies during the year. Director, NPOL reserves the
right not to select any candidate, if suitable candidates are not available.
The Fellowships shall be awarded initially for a period of two years (extendable as per rules), with monthly
emoluments of Rs.37000/- plus House Rent Allowance as admissible under the rules.
Any additional information/amendments pertaining to the selection process notified vide this Advertisement
shall be updated only on DRDO website (www.drdo.gov.in). Prospective candidates are therefore advised
to visit the website regularly until the selection exercise is concluded.
