Job description
The Quality Assurance Specialist will ensure high standards in oil production, verifying that all products meet regulatory and company requirements for quality, safety, and consistency. This role focuses on testing, process monitoring, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, supporting the demands of the FMCG sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control and Testing
Conduct routine quality control tests on raw materials, in-process, and finished products. Perform physical, chemical, and sensory evaluations to confirm that oil products meet required specifications, such as purity, color, and viscosity. Analyze test results, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions.
2. Compliance and Documentation
Ensure products comply with industry and regulatory standards (FDA, FSSAI), including ISO 9001, HACCP, and GMP requirements. Participate in internal and external audits, maintain accurate records, and implement corrective actions to address compliance issues.
3. Process Optimization
Collaborate with production and R&D teams to identify and address process inefficiencies. Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality assurance, providing training and guidance to production staff to ensure consistent adherence to quality protocols.
4. Reporting and Analysis
Prepare detailed reports on quality trends, inspection outcomes, and corrective actions. Use statistical analysis to interpret data, identify improvement areas, and provide management with insights on quality performance.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in QA/QC roles within FMCG, ideally in oil production.
Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and proficiency in statistical software.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma) are a plus.
