The police raid on a party at KTR’s brother-in-law’s farmhouse in Janwada on the outskirts of Hyderabad has triggered a political row in Telangana.
The Congress has alleged that what happened there was a rave party and that drugs were used.
The BRS says it is not a farmhouse and it is outrageous to say that partying with family members in the new house is a rave party and that the allegations of using drugs are outrageous.
The BRS leaders protested against the attacks by police and excise department officials.
The issue has led to a political war between the ruling and opposition parties in Telangana.
Former minister and BRS working president K. Taraka Rama Rao’s brother-in-law Pakala Rajendra Prasad alias Rajpaka owns a property in Sri Mhatre Properties in survey no. 691 and 692 in Janwada of Shankarpally mandal on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
While Congress party leaders say it is a farmhouse, the BRS says it is a house. The police in their FIR claimed that it was a newly constructed house.
Rajpakala runs a software company called ETG.
On the evening of October 26, a party was organised in the name of Diwali. Mokila police, Cyberabad SOT (Special Operation Team) and excise police conducted raids on Saturday night during the party.
A case has also been registered at Mokila police station with the number 311-2024.
Raj pakala and his friend Vijay Madduri have been booked under sections 25, 27, 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and sections 3 and 4 of the Telangana Gaming Act, police said.
